How Do I Pay for
My Child's Meal?
- To eliminate the need
for students to carry cash to school, a simple meal debit system is
used. Similar to a debit bankcard, a deposit is made to your child's
account. The price of a meal is deducted at the time of purchase.
- At your convenience,
you may view your student's account balance and history on line. Go to
www.LunchDeposit.com. to set up an account. (You will need your
student's ID number.) Click on the "sign-up" link and follow the steps.
There is no fee for this service.
- sendmoneytoschool.com
does charge a $1.75 fee for deposits made on line. Dexter
Community Schools does not charge a fee for check or cash deposits
made at school or by mail. Cash or check may be sent to school with
your child, in an envelope labeled F&N, your child's first and last
name, and building. One check may be written for multiple students.
Designate the childrens' names, schools and amounts on the check memo
line. Please make checks payable to Dexter Schools F&N. Envelopes
may be dropped in the building collections boxes provided by F&N.
At Creekside, Mill Creek and DHS, checks are accepted at the cash
register. If you prefer, your deposit can be mailed to the F&N
Student Accounts Office at 7714 Ann Arbor St., Dexter, MI 48130 or you
are welcome to drop by the Copeland office. Please allow two schools
days for check deposits to be credited to accounts. (Online payments
are real -time.) A $25.00 fee will be assessed for checks returned for
any reason.
- Students may also
check their balances as they purchase at the register.
- To ensure that your
student's meal experience is worry free, we ask that you please be
diligent about keeping money in his/her account.
- It is your
responsibility to make sure your child has money in his/her account.
- Students are not
allowed to carry a lunch negative at Dexter High School or Mill Creek
Middle School.
- Absolutely no ala
carte items may be purchased when an account is negative at Creekside
and Wylie.
- Elementary students
whose accounts continue to be negative will not be allowed to choose
their entrée.
- Parents are expected
to send money or send a lunch from home.
