In June 2024, fifteen Dexter High School students traveled to Burghausen, Germany, a small town on the German/Austrian border, in a reciprocal exchange program that has taken place each year for the past seven years. Thanks to the generosity of Wacker Chemie AG, a German company with American headquarters in Adrian, MI, DHS students attend classes, sightsee, and experience daily German life with their host families. Please enjoy this short video detailing their trip, including student commentary from the group's daily trip blog.
German students from Aventinus-Gymnasium Burghausen (AVG) are due to arrive in Dexter on Wednesday, October 23rd for their ten-day stay in our community. While in the U.S., AVG students will visit local and surrounding area points of interest (The Big House, Detroit, the Dexter Bakery, etc.) and attend classes and extracurricular activities with their DHS exchange partner.
DCS looks forward to welcoming them to our community, and wish them a wonderful visit!
