Wednesday, March 25
Thursday, March 26
Friday, March 27
Cozy Clothes Day
Backwards Hat or Clothes Day
Wacky or Mismatched Socks Day
Jersey or Dexter Gear Day
Dress Like Your Favorite Teacher or Friend Day
Come as you are to celebrate differences during ability awareness week.

  • Let's all step out of our comfort zone and learn about students with different disabilities.
  • Let's be comfortable with being uncomfortable as we spread awareness of disabilities this week!
It's okay to be different. In fact, it's pretty cool!

Everyone being different is what makes humans beautiful. If we were the same, we would be boring.

  • Today, ask questions and learn about your classmates.
On Mismatched Day, wear mismatched clothes or socks.

Today, we explore the difference between inclusion and exclusion.

  • Do something different today–sit with someone different at lunch, or play with a different person at recess. Invite someone to join your group.
Wear your Dexter gear or favorite jersey.

  • Go for the gold and support your favorite team.
  • Celebrate success.
  • Celebrate inclusion.
  • Recognize achievements of all kinds.
  • "It's our team, too."
Notice the heroes around you!

  • Look for those who act with decency and kindness without expecting recognition.
  • Notice individuals who persist through challenges.

Dropping an item off for your child?

A table with several signs, an inbox, tissues, tape, pens, etc. labeled Drop Off Table.

If you need to drop off an item for your child during the school day, please place it on the table in the front vestibule and complete the white/pink slip. Tape the slip to the item so our office staff can deliver it to your student as soon as possible.

Please try to avoid dropping off items close to dismissal unless it is an emergency.

2026-2027 Incoming 6th Grade Parent Input

This is your opportunity to give us information about your child for the 2026-2027 class placement process. This survey will remain open until April 24, 2026.

Incoming 6th Grade Parent Input Form Link

It’s hard to believe that it is already time to begin the process of placing students for the 2026-2027 school year.

When placing students, we consider many criteria to provide a balanced educational experience for all children. Your input is an important part of the placement process. A great deal of care goes into making appropriate classroom assignments. To maintain the integrity of this process, parent requests for specific teachers will not be considered.

On this form you will find a request for more information about your child to assist us in the placement process. Please complete this form on or before April 24, 2026. The survey will close following April 24, 2026

If you have more than one Creekside student, please fill out a form for each student.

Your child’s placement will be e-mailed to you in late August.

Thank you for your support and we look forward to having your child at Creekside next year.
