Hello DEEC Families!
It's that time of the year again - our Annual Field Day is just around the corner, and we couldn't be more excited! This event is an exciting tradition at the Dexter Early Elementary Complex, bringing together students, families, and staff for a day filled with laughter, games, and plenty of outdoor fun!
This year, our Field Day will take place on Friday, June 5th! We've been busy planning an array of exciting activities and games suitable for all students, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy. From classic favorites like sack races, hula hoops and water balloons to newer additions, such as our Imagination Station building tools, a Bounce House Obstacle Course, and an Gymnastics course sponsored by Champion Gymnastics, there's no shortage of entertainment in store!
But Field Day wouldn't be the same without the support of our wonderful volunteers. We're reaching out to our incredible DEEC community to ask for your help in making this event a resounding success. Whether you can spare an hour or the entire day, your assistance is invaluable in ensuring everything runs smoothly and that our students have a fantastic experience.
We're looking for volunteers to assist with various tasks such as:

Setting up field

Supervising & leading games and activities

*Note - This year teachers may not be joining the classes as they pack & prepare for their classroom moves over the summer. For this reason, we are asking for more volunteers to help supervise the students.

No prior experience is necessary, and all volunteers will receive guidance and support. It's a wonderful opportunity to get involved, connect with other families, and be part of a day that creates lasting memories for our students.

The schedule for students is as follows:
8:20-9:50am - 1st Grade Classes
10-11:30am - 2nd Grade Classes
11:40am-1:10pm - Young 5s Classes
1:20-2:50pm - Kindergarten Classes
We know many families also like to donate materials to make our events successful, as well as cut down on our PTO expenses. If you would like to donate water balloons, bubble solution, etc, please visit our Amazon Wish List here.
