Dear Class of 2026 and families,
Happy Friday! We hope you enjoyed the fall sunshine this week. The weather next week is looking great for all of the Homecoming activities that are planned. Monday begins DHS Homecoming week! Spirit days will be held each day, float building will take place after school, and the week will wrap up with the annual pep rally and homecoming parade. The homecoming dance will take place on Saturday, October 11th, from 7-9 pm in the DHS gym.

All other shoes are not permitted. Tickets will be available at the door for $10 per person. Only cash will be accepted. Students planning to bring a non-DHS student must have an approved guest form completed and submitted by Wednesday, October 8th. No guests will be able to enter without an approved guest form.
October is college application month. During October, many colleges and universities around the state waive their application fees. In order to support seniors with their college applications, DHS counselors will be available in the media center during all class periods, October 6th through 10th. Students are required to get permission from their classroom teacher before going to the media center.
The FAFSA is open!
The 2026-2027 FAFSA is officially open. All seniors are encouraged to complete the FAFSA regardless of plans for the 2026-2027 school year.
