
Wow! That first week went by too quickly!
Students are settling into their new schedules, the weather is getting cooler, and the building is bursting with activity. What a great start to the 2025-2026 school year!
Next week is packed with more fun and exciting events: auditions for MacBeth with the Dexter Drama Troupe on Monday afternoon, Clubs and Activities Day on Wednesday during lunch, Senior Class meeting on Thursday morning, and multiple athletic events after school each day.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS
- Food and Nutrition Free School Meals through September 30!! Come join us each day for a free breakfast and lunch. Our meals include whole grains, lean proteins, fruits, vegetables, and milk. Breakfast is available from 7:30am to 8:00am in the DHS Commons.

9th Grade and New Student Orientation Thank you to those who joined us for 9th Grade and New Student Orientation on Monday. If you were unable to join us, please see the attached slides.

SWWC Transportation If your student is enrolled in a Career and Technical Education Program through the South and West Washtenaw Consortium (SWWC), please see the transportation schedule for SWWC programming. Students are able to receive important information and updates through the Remind App - please see Connie Agostini for more information. Students enrolled may NOT self transport unless they have an approved form on file. All students enrolled in SWWC programming are required to utilize school provided transportation.
- School Pictures School pictures were taken on Thursday, September 4th during the school day. Please go to https://vando.imagequix. com/g1001270915 to order desired packages or view the PDF order form linked here for more information. If you were unable to get your picture taken this past Thursday, retake day is scheduled for Wednesday, October 15th.
- Student Schedule Changes If your student needs to change their class schedule as a result of a hole (no class scheduled during a period of the day), a misplacement, or another valid reason, please have your student go to the counseling center.
- Parking Registration Students who would like to drive to school need to submit the attached form.
- Clubs and Activities Students will have the opportunity to explore all of clubs and activities offered at DHS during all three lunches in the Commons on Wednesday, September 10. We highly encourage all students to get connected to the school community through clubs, activities, and teams.
