Essential Transportation Info

Dear Families –

Please read this important transportation information whether your student will walk, bike, be driven by a parent, or ride a bus to school this fall. Please review the attached flyer in its entirety before reaching out with questions. This will allow our Transportation Department to stay focused on the important work of mapping routes.

THE NO-TRANSPORT ZONE STARTS THIS FALL!

Students who live within an approximately 1.5-mile radius of their school will not be bused to school. Detailed maps of the no-transport zone and city crosswalks are on the attached flyer.

Please note:

  • We will have three morning-only bus shuttles for Y5-4th grade students to cross major streets. Their approximate locations are on the map in the attached flyer; precise locations and times will be posted with all the morning bus routes.
  • Creekside and DHS students can ride a shuttle from the Solar Walkway to and from their buildings in the morning and afternoon.

Transportation Plans:

  • All families (bus or no bus) must complete the TRANSPORTATION PLANS FORM no later than August 15, 2024.

  • We need your help! Please  remind your friends and neighbors about the transportation form. Families who live in the transportation zone who do not complete the transportation form by August 15th may not be provided a spot on a bus until the end of the first week of school.

Bus Routes:

  • Bus Routes will be published sometime during the week of August 28th, as soon as they are ready. We only publish the morning pick-up time for safety reasons. Bus drivers will give families approximate drop-off times on the first day of school.
  • Be at your bus stop ten minutes before the scheduled time. Expect delays the first couple of weeks. Routes will be adjusted during the first weeks of school as needed.

We are sorry to give families "homework" during the summer but this information will help everyone have a safe and confident start to the school year. As the first day of school approaches, we will send home more information.

Thanks for your support!
