Dear Dexter Families,
Halloween is an exciting day for many of our students and families. This year, students who wish to wear a Halloween costume to school may do so. Participation is entirely optional.
This is a change for some of our buildings. We want to provide a clearer, more consistent approach across DCS.
If your student chooses to dress up, please keep their costume simple, comfortable, and appropriate for a regular school day. Costumes must allow students to participate fully in class and cannot interfere with learning or safety.
We also want every student who wishes to participate to have that opportunity. If your family could use help finding a simple costume or another option, please reach out to your school social worker. We will provide support discreetly.
We look forward to making the day enjoyable for students while keeping our focus on teaching and learning. Thank you for your support.
