Invitation to Participate in Superintendent Search Process

The Dexter Community Schools Board of Education is beginning the search for our next superintendent and has partnered with the Michigan Leadership Institute to guide the process. Your input is incredibly important to us, as we want the selection of our next leader to reflect the needs and aspirations of our entire school community.

To ensure a broad and inclusive process, we are offering two opportunities for you to help shape the candidate profile, which will guide our search for the ideal superintendent.

Opportunity #1: Complete a Survey

We invite you to take a few minutes to complete a brief survey about the qualities and skills you believe are essential in our next superintendent. The survey will be open until Monday, June 9 at 10:00 PM.

Opportunity #2: Attend an Interactive Meeting

You are invited to join us for an interactive meeting with MLI Regional President, John Silveri, on Thursday, June 5, where you will have the opportunity to:

• Provide direct input on the superintendent search
• Learn more about the search process
• Ask questions and engage in conversation 

The meetings will be held in the Dexter High School Media Center at the following times:

• 12:30 – 1:15 p.m. – District Administration and Directors (Auxiliary Room)
• 1:45 – 2:30 p.m. – DHS Students (*by invitation only) (Auxiliary Room)
• 3:00-3:45 p.m. – District Staff – DHS & Creekside (Creekside staff, please park in the staff lot, and late arrival is permitted.) (Main Room)
• 3:45 - 4:30 p.m. – District Staff – MC, Wylie, DEEC (Main Room)
• 5:00 – 5:45 p.m. – Community Members (Main Room)
