A Note from Mrs. Kiernan
We had another great week at Wylie! Students have been working hard to wrap up projects and prepare for our upcoming Wylie Walkers event, which will take place on June 3 from 9:00–11:00 AM (rain date: June 4). All Wylie families are welcome to attend and experience this special culminating celebration of our Place-Based Education work from the 2025–2026 school year.
As part of this learning, several students from Mrs. Eby’s, Mrs. Tatara’s, and Mrs. Weiss’s 3rd grade classrooms had the opportunity to present at the city council meeting last Monday. This was an exceptional example of civic leadership and stewardship in action, as students shared their learning and ideas connected to the community around them and were able to present them with a tree.
We are so proud of the confidence, leadership, and engagement our students continue to demonstrate as they learn how to positively impact the place they call home!

Specials in the Spotlight!
Music News from Ms. Lindback
Fourth graders want to say a HUGE thank you for coming out to their Spring Concert! They were so excited to share their last Wylie music concert with you! Our 4th graders are officially prepared for 5th grade music class! The last unit these students are doing is based on opera. Students are comparing opera to musical theatre.
Third grade students are so proud of their fantastic Spring Concert! A special shout out to our amazing volunteers who helped us set up all the music instruments before the concert: we couldn't do it without you! Our 3rd graders are learning about film composers and how music can affect character development and the main story line.
