Tardy—from official start time until one hour after start time
After One Hour—considered absent for one half day
Early Departure—if a student leaves school more than one hour before the ending time, s/he will be recorded as absent for onehalf day; if less than one hour, early departure will be recorded as a tardy.
Grades 7-12:
Tardy—“Tardy” is defined as arriving between the official start time of each class and up to five minutes after class starts. Mill Creek students who accumulate fourtardies in one quarter will get a “4” in citizenship. An administrative intervention will be implemented for any student in grades 9-12with three or more tardies.
After Five Minutes—a “late” will be marked for students who arrive more than five minutes after the official start time of class. Mill Creek students who are marked late four times in onequarter will get a “4” in citizenship. An administrative intervention will be implemented for any student in grades 9-12with three or more lates.
