Open Enrollment Information

  • Open Enrollment  November 1st - 14th, 2018 (for coverage effective 1/1/2019)
  • Open Enrollment meeting is 3:30pm Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the High School Media Center

STEPS FOR COMPLETING OPEN ENROLLMENT
(for MESSA groups)
  1. For detailed instructions - MESSA Open Enrollment Users Guide 
  2. Go to: MESSA.org
  3. Log in to your My MESSA account  (or register) 
  4. Select Online benefits website (This takes you to MESSA's enrollment portal)
  5. Choose Change My Elections - If considering a Plan change please read: Moving MESSA Plans
  6. If waiving medical coverage you must complete an online open enrollment election ANNUALLY by choosing MESSA No Medical - Opt Out (PAK B)
  7. HSA elections must be made ANNUALLY online
  8. Flexible Spending Elections must be made ANNUALLY on PAPER and returned to the payroll office by November 14th Flex/Section 125 Enrollment Form

     

    STEPS FOR COMPLETING OPEN ENROLLMENT
    (for Blue Cross/Blue Shield groups)
    1. If waiving medical coverage you must complete a BCBS Waiver Form ANNUALLY
    2. If changing coverage complete the  BCBS Change Form
    3. HSA elections must be made ANNUALLY by completing the HSA Enrollment Form - non MESSA groups
    4. Flexible Spending Elections must be made ANNUALLY by completing the Flex/Section 125 Enrollment Form
    5. Return ALL forms to the payroll office by November 14th
