Health Savings Accounts
Effective July 1, 2016 the District will be switching HSA vendors from Bancorp to Health Equity. You will be receiving a welcome packet in the mail from Health Equity, if you have not already. All payroll contribution amounts will be deposited into your new account with Health Equity starting with your 7/15/16 paycheck. For those of you with MESSA, Health Equity is integrated with your PAK D high deductible health plan.
You may continue to use the dollars previously contributed at Bancorp (since 7/1/2015) for qualified expenses until your dollars are gone. Because dollars will no longer be contributed on a monthly basis to Bancorp, they will be charging a $2.50 per month account maintenance fee.
If you still have funds from the self-funded HDHP/HSA with NGS CoreSource/ BenefitWallet (prior to 6/30/2015), you may continue to use the dollars previously contributed for qualified expenses until your dollars are gone there also.
We realize that you may now have HSA accounts at three different vendors. Our office will help you transfer all funds from Bancorp and/or BenefitWallet to Health Equity, if you prefer to have all your HSA dollars in a single account. However, because all these accounts are your personal bank accounts, you will need to complete the attached form for each bank account you want to have transferred.
If you would like us to handle the transition (and applicable fees), please complete the attached form and return the original form(s) to the payroll office by 8 am on July 15. Our office is open M-Th 7 am-4pm and F 7 am-11am. We are closed July 1-July 4.
If you choose to maintain your Bancorp account and/or your BenefitWallet account, any applicable account fees going forward are your responsibility.
