She is now licensed to teach in both Michigan and Tennessee. Barbara is excited to be part of the community at Dexter High School, and is looking forward to a great school year.

“Barbara is teaching math at DHS for the first semester as a long-term sub for Kathy Luxon, who is out on leave.  We are super fortunate to have such a qualified, seasoned teacher to fill in for Mrs. Luxon while she is out.” – Ken Koenig, Assistant Principal

This is Social Studies/Football Coach Rob Dubay’s first full year teaching in Dexter, but his 4th year here overall. This is Rob’s ninth year overall in education, including 5 years teaching experience at Pinckney High School.

Rob graduated from Pinckney HS in 2006 and got his bachelor's degree from Eastern in 2011. He is currently the head coach of the Freshmen football team at Dexter. In his spare time, he enjoys playing fantasy football and is an avid fan of books and film.

“Rob has worked in the building as a long-term sub as well as our building sub on and off for the past two years. We are so happy to finally have Rob on board as a full-time member of our teaching staff, and we look forward to seeing the impact he will have on Dexter students.” - Ken Koenig, Assistant Principal

Krickett Luckhardt is the Art Teacher at Dexter High School. She was the long-term sub at the High School for the past two years and is excited to be here on a full-time contract. Krickett was born and raised in Dexter and actually graduated from DHS in 2009. After high school, she did some jumping around to a couple different colleges before finding her place at Eastern Michigan University. She graduated from EMU with a bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts Education with a concentration in Photography in 2016.

Fall of 2018 was a big time for Krickett as she bought her first house in Munith and got engaged to her high school sweetheart after 10 1/2 years of dating. She will be getting married and become Mrs. Chamberlain in November of this year. She and her fiancé are proud to have 2 fur babies; Oakley, an Australian Shepherd and cat, Sirius. Krickett’s hobbies include watching her fiancé race dirt bikes, photography, reading, watching movies and being with family and friends.

“I am looking forward to being back at DCS and getting to know even more of Dexter’s amazing and talented students. My time here so far has been something from my dreams; the kindness and responsibility Dexter’s kids show in the Art Room is inspiring!” - Krickett Luckhardt

“Krickett has been with us for the last two years teaching art as a long-term substitute for Mrs. Campbell. We are happy to have her on staff; we look forward to her continued inspiration of Deter kids!” – Ken Koenig, Assistant Principal
